Focused on the ideas of establishing “leisure county”, “two-oriented county”, and “boutique county”, Guidong county tried great efforts on establishing the downtown to be an ecological “two-oriented” elegant downtown. As you can see from above image, it is the sunset of Guidong county’s downtown.

“Xianrenshitian”(immortals are transplanting) which is located in Tangxi village, Sidu town, Guidong county is one of the eight old scenic spots of Guidong county. The karst cave is about 3meters deep. “Xianrenshitian” is called as Longya cave as well. There are two doors for this cave. Once stepped into the cave, you may be amazed by the “terraced scenery”.

Guidong Botanic Garden is about 3000mu big. More than 0.3million plants are planted there, including over 5000 rare and precious trees. Sweet osmanthus, taxus chinensis, and some other greening trees are mainly planted there. It is with the functions of exhibition of botanic, tourism, and etc., which is a miniature of the beautiful Guidong county.

Huneng Hunan Guidong wind power project is located in Qiaotou town, Hankou town, Oujiang town, Guidong county. Its planning gross installed capacity is 84,000KW with 42 wind turbines and 720million yuan investment. The wind power projects are helpful to develop and utilize the wind power resource of Guidong county, improve its resource structure, enhance the pillar industry of electricity, and promote the industrial transformation and upgrading of Guidong county’s industry.

Qiaotou town where is located in the northeastern part of Guidong county is 390meters-1906meters high altitude. Thanks to the mild and humid climate, sandiness soil and fertile land, tea trees grow well in the town. Now tea industry becomes the main industry for people’s increase of income.

Wenchang Bridge which was donated by the descendants of Guo Qiong in Emperor Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty was called Qiong’s Bridge. This five-hole stone arch bridge is located in Wenchang village of Shatian town and crosses Oujiang river. In order to convent people’s daily life and meet the demands of production and living, over 100 bridges were built in Guidong county during Ming and Qing Dynasty.

Yanru expressway was placed to operation in the end of 2013 which ended the history that Guidong county is without expressway and helped to form a transportation format of “internal systemic circulation, external convenient flow”.
 

Guidong county, located in the west of eminent Luoxiao mountain and east of green Chenzhou city, is the faraway place and high altitude place of Hunan province.

If you travelled around Hunan province, please stay in Guidong county for some days, you may experience the different views there.

What is the difference? Why it is different?

Because it is newly photographed, all the photos are taken in this May. The colorful Pingru road, wind power generation cluster, ecological civilization, memory of homesickness, and etc. are the new records of Guidong county.

Because it is aerial photographed, all the photos are taken by unmanned aerial vehicles. Looking down from the sky, all the scenes are much grander and the view angles are neoteric that bring more surprises for the audience.

Because it is follow-up photographed, all the photos are taken by the reporters who took temporary posts in Guidong county. They spent over 70 days in Guidong county to observe the area closely that every day was new to them with the special visual taste.

Magnificent, verdant, mystical, romantic…… We can feel the photographers’ sincere devotion for the land and the people.
